Ben Hill Recreation Center

Ben Hill Recreation Center is a cultural hub in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The facility was built in 1966 and was opened to the public in 1967. It is made up of three separate buildings, a soccer field, tennis courts, an outdoor pool, and six multi-purpose fields. Community members of all ages come together at Ben Hill Recreation Center for activities, such as basketball tournaments, family reunions, and special events.

When you visit here, you immediately feel welcome and accepted. The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable about the many programs offered at the center.

Gymnasium

The main building includes a gymnasium hosting recreational and competitive sports, including basketball, volleyball, and wrestling. Inside the main building are also classrooms with computer labs where people can participate in educational programs like cooking classes or art projects.

Fitness Center

There are also two separate weight rooms and a fitness center with cardio machines, treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes. Additionally, there is a dance studio where you can take classes in jazz, hip-hop, and other dance forms.

Meeting Rooms

In the front building, two meeting rooms with audio and visual equipment are perfect for business meetings or special events like baby showers. This is also where you can rent the facility for special events.

Tennis Courts

There are two tennis courts located behind the main building. The well-lit courts provide an excellent spot for playing recreational or competitive tennis.

Outdoor Pool

The outdoor pool is perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day. It features a six-lane lap area for serious swimmers and a large shallow area with play features for children. There is also a diving board and plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun.

They offer swimming lessons and group activities like water aerobics and aqua jogging.
